Lakeland Maize Maze, for fun filled days out in Kendal and The Lake District

Since we opened in 2004 we have welcomed thousands of visitors every year to Raines Hall Farm, the home of Lakeland Maize Maze. The first attraction we had was the Maize Maze and it is still the highlight for many of our customers during the months of July to September.

Every year we create a different design to the maze and it always provides a challenge to be completed - although we do provide an 'Emergency Map' if you get lost!

The Mini Maze

During the Maize Maze season we open a Mini Maize Maze especially for our younger (and older) visitors. It is much smaller and so does not take too long to complete. Children must of course be accompanied by an adult in the Mini Maze.

Comfort & Safety

Do wear shoes suitable for walking - in wet weather wear your wellies...there are some available at the Farm Park if yours are at home!

The field is a working maize field. The ground may be uneven in places, so please take care. We are not responsible for personal injury.

In hot weather please make sure you have water and that you drink plenty. Soft drinks are available at the reception area for you to purchase.

Please remember to visit the toilets before you enter the maze - you could be in there for over 2 hours!

If you get into difficulty, there are staff in the maze to help you.

We do have some rules for the maze. They are for the comfort and safety of all and help to make sure that everyone has a great time. Please make sure you and your party adhere to them.
