We try our very best to make your visit to Lakeland Maze Farm Park as fun and enjoyable as possible and always try to accommodate as many people as we can but like many farms, we are in a fairly rural destination with limited public transport. Our site is generally accessible for wheelchairs and pushchairs with the majority of our outside spaces being smooth concrete or tarmac however we are a farm based venue and if there has been lots of rain, any muddy conditions are unfortunately out of our control so please be prepared for all weather conditions.

Useful Site Information

Ground Conditions and Wheelchair Access: There is a smooth ramp down to our outdoor play area, this area does have large areas of grass which may get a little muddy after consistent bad weather but gravel footpaths are also in place. During the maze season, the mini maze is wheelchair accessible however please take into account the weather conditions around your visit as this could get especially wet and muddy after several days of heavy rain. The main maze unfortunately is not accessible at this time due to having large bridges with steep metal steps. The wooden panel maze is not wheelchair accessible due to having several sets of steps and bridges. The rest of our outdoor grounds are smooth, level, concrete or tarmac apart from our carpark which is gravel and on a slope in places.

Parking: We have designated disabled parking bays which are signposted and on the most level area of our carpark, directly outside our site entrance and exit points. Please leave these spaces free for those who need them. We have plenty of other parking spaces both on gravel and on grass, please park sensibly and do not block any access points, remember we are also a working farm and our large tractor/trailer may need to pass through at times. If you are parked on a slope, please make sure your vehicle’s handbrake is applied and leave the vehicle in gear if possible.

Dogs: Sorry but no dogs are allowed on site at Lakeland Maze Farm Park unless they are a registered assistance dog. This is to ensure the safety and welfare of our animals and other visitors. We do have 3 basic kennel stalls which remain cool even on hot days, these are available to use free of charge during your visit but please do contact us to check availability, especially during busy periods.

Wi-Fi: We have FREE Wi-Fi available on site, no password needed, please do ask a member of staff for help with this if required.

Public Transport: The nearest bus stops are on the A590 near Brettargh Holt roundabout or on the A65, both of which are at least a 30minute walk away on average however there are plenty of reliable taxi firms in the area. The nearest train station is Oxenholme which is around a 6 minute drive (2.5miles) from our site and approximately 50 minutes away on foot. We are less than 10 minutes away from Junction 36 of the M6 by car, you can find all directions and our exact location here.

Toilets: Our toilets are currently all in one area of the site but these sit in between our two main buildings so are close to all of the animal barns and animal activities, the panel maze, indoor go-karts/bouncy castle area, the gift shop and the cafe/soft play building. There are no toilets in the carpark, the outdoor play area, within the maize mazes or on the tractor ride. Our main toilet building consists of a men’s block (1 cubicle plus several urinals), a women’s block (4 cubicles) and a single toilet with wheelchair access. We now have an additional 4 individual unisex cubicles just a few metres away from the main toilets.

Seating: We have a large indoor seating area in our soft play and cafe building, there is an additional seating area in the next barn just outside the gift shop and plenty of seating in our outdoor play area. We have taken on customer feedback and as well as adding a gazebo for more sheltered seating in our outdoor area, we are currently adding more seating closer to various outdoor attractions rather than it all being in the one picnic area. If you require a seat in a certain area where there doesn’t seem to be one, please do ask a member of staff. We have individual chairs available on request, they’re just put away to stop them getting damaged or blown away.

We offer Essential Companion ticket(s) FREE of charge to visitors who hold an Access Card with the +1 or +2 symbol, this ensures we can provide the best possible experience for everyone. Don’t have an Access Card? Our partners at Nimbus can undertake a FREE application for you to obtain a Lakeland Maze Digital Access Pass (DAP) so you can book an Essential Companion ticket for your visit. If your DAP includes the +1 or +2 symbol, you will be able to add an Essential Companion ticket to your basket.

You can apply for the FREE Lakeland Maze DAP below. Once you have applied and it has been approved, the ID number issued will be valid for 3 years and can be used for future Lakeland Maze visits.
There is also the option to upgrade to an Access Card for £15.00 should you wish to apply for broader recognition across many more venues.

To ensure extra measures are available to those who genuinely need them, this is now the only form of ID we will be accepting for visitors with a disability/impairment and carers/essential companions. Any queries regarding access needs should be raised with Nimbus themselves, we can always refund ticket charges where deemed necessary, once approved by Nimbus.

Young Carers: It is the policy of Lakeland Maze Farm Park that all children under the age of 16yrs must be accompanied by a responsible adult (aged 17yrs or over) at all times whilst on our site. Whilst we understand that young carers can be an essential source of support, we are only able to accept them under the Essential Companion ticket scheme where there is absolutely no risk of them being left unattended.
